 Achieving a SFJ Awards Incident Command Qualification at any command level with K Lamb Associates is both a rewarding and enjoyable experience. Katherine Lamb believes that for a successful outcome a delegate should be challenged but always in a safe learning environment with wrap around support from credible experienced trainers and assessors every step of the way.

 Last week we delivered another three SFJ Awards Level 4 Award (ICL2) in Intermediate Incident Command Courses attended by delegates from Greater Manchester Fire, Warwickshire Fire, Nottinghamshire Fire, Humberside Fire, Cumbria Fire, Sellafield Sites and Devon & Somerset Fire. Verified feedback received so far;

 “One of the best courses I've attended, from the clear objectives to the professional knowledge of the instructors, this challenging course was facilitated in an immersive environment which allowed us all to develop as a team using each scenario as further learning. Feedback from the instructors provided constructive areas for improvement and allowed these points to be taken forward from the formative assessment to the summative assessment's.” Ryan Collins SFJ L4 Sellafield Sites.

 “Most challenging and rewarding course I've completed since being in the fire service. Greater understanding now on the roles and responsibility of a level two commander. Fully supported throughout the week by the excellent knowledge and experiences of the instructors which was passed down to us all.” Ben Bateson SFJ L4 Sellafield Sites.

 Each delegate starts with the important knowledge input, crucial to understanding the parameters in which a Level 2 commander works, followed by a formative assessment with invaluable feedback that they take into their summative assessment. The Effective Command Behavioural Tool ensures the standards of assessment are met along with more data collected adding to a national and local picture.

 “Yes, as a new SM this was an essential course to start my new role. I was unsure what to expect but it delivered what I needed but far more than this in terms of actual learning and some confidence!!” Tom Kitchen SFJ L4 Notts

 Cumbria FRS also commissioned KLA to revalidate 2 of their strategic commanders in the SFJ Awards Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command. The preferred delivery option was remote facilitated online. Delegates experienced chairing a SCG for a complex and challenging scenario.
