News on Existing Clients and Exploring New Leads

Katherine Lamb Associates Ltd had a wonderful time exhibiting for both days at this year's ESS2025 in NEC Birmingham. A massive thank you to so many of our existing clients that took time to find us, sometimes just to say hello and others to also get their questions answered by the team. Now the leg work begins following up on the many new enquiries we received, hopefully there will be more news on that to come. The stand for ESS2026 is already secured, our focus is on an interactive exhibit so watch this space.

Fantastic news this week as we received official notification from South Yorkshire Fire that KLA have been awarded a new 3-year contract under the YPO Framework to also deliver their Incident Command (IC) Level 3 Revalidation, ICL4 and ICL4 Revalidation. Katherine Lamb said, ‘it’s always a real pleasure to be awarded a contract and we take it as validation of the high-quality IC training we deliver consistently throughout the UK Fire and Rescue Service’.

We returned to Jersey FRS once again with a KLA delivery Team this time to deliver a SFJ Awards Level 4 Award in Intermediate Incident Command. Our continuing relationship with Jersey FRS is growing in a very positive way. The feedback continues to be amazing.

‘The training was clear, engaging, and delivered by knowledgeable and approachable people who supported us, guided us where necessary, and made the experience enjoyable.” SFJ Level 4 Award

We welcomed the latest cohort of Strategic Commanders to Staffordshire Fire HQ site for their SCG Practical Exercise, the penultimate part of a SFJ Awards Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command with KLA. Chief Fire Officer Mark Baxter and Area Manager David Lynch from Lincolnshire Fire each performed the role of SCG Chair surrounded by in-person credible, authentic and experienced role players from Staffordshire Fire Civil Contingencies Unit (CCU).

“An excellent and immersive experience. Using live characters throughout the scenario added huge benefits.” AM David Lynch

Similarly in Cumbria Fire, KLA was commissioned to deliver an assessment day against the SFJ Awards Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command as part of an internal process. This time using a completely on-line format, KLA’s role players provided the challenge in a complex scenario overseen by a KLA strategic assessor.

Are you a Strategic Commander looking to access an initial SFJ Awards Level 7 Award in Strategic Incident Command, or maybe one who already qualified some time ago and is unaware you could and probably should revalidate against that award? Perhaps you’re an IC Team Lead mulling over what courses are out there for your Initial, Intermediate, Advanced and Strategic Commanders. Talk to us about your training plan for 2026/2027 we’re happy to engage and help you with your needs.
