LAUNCHED – the new SFJ Awards Level 3 Certificate in Fire Control Command
Katherine Lamb is excited to see the launch of the new SFJ Awards Level 3 Certificate in Fire Control Command. Having played an integral part in its design and development, KLA are pleased to be able to build on our hugely successful extant course, already delivered to several FRSs, and offer this certificated course. Having previously launched Effective Command for Fire Control this course will add to the development of Fire Control Commanders.
Devon & Somerset Fire hosted phase 2 of the SFJ Awards Level 4 Award in Designing and Delivering Incident Command Training joined by delegates returning from Warwickshire Fire and Cumbria Fire. A chance to showcase their newly acquired skills, each delegate got the chance to deliver IC training designed by them all using specific delivery formats. It was great to see their development over the 2 phases of the course, well done.
“KLA’s trainers were brilliant and worked well together, their knowledge of the subject enabled me to have a better understanding of the course work.”
The next course (phase 1) with spaces is being hosted by Tyne & Wear Fire and starts 8th – 10th December. Delegates already signed up from, Cumbria FRS and Northern Island Fire.
West Midlands Fire commissioned KLA to deliver another SFJ Awards Level 4 Award in Intermediate Incident Command. Utilising their excellent state of the art Incident Command facilities, the K Lamb Associates delivery team enjoyed the 5-day course, facilitating some interesting group discussions as well as 12 formative/ summative complex assessments all receiving feedback with the assistance of the EC Behavioural Marking Tool.
“The conversations were engaging and provided a variety of views and scenarios were put into the appropriate context.” SFJ Level 4
