KLA back and fully refreshed
Reflecting on the last 6 weeks, usually a summer break for KLA, our schedule whilst lighter continued to deliver quality Incident Command Training and revalidation assessments. Katherine Lamb took advantage of this period by organising a day of IC Revalidation Assessments specifically for the K Lamb Associates. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is integral to KLA ensuring integrity and professionalism massively important in our commitment to clients.
In Bedfordshire Fire we delivered a SFJ Awards Level 4 Award in Intermediate Incident Command. Aligning with their ICT team’s lean period our delivery team attended spending the week engaging in constructive group discussions facilitating the formative and summative assessments. The course enjoyed other services attending, Humberside Fire, Gloucestershire Fire and Greater Manchester Fire. Feedback has been positive.
“I spent this week undertaking a level 4 intermediate incident commander course. I would highly recommend the course. We had 3 instructors who were extremely knowledgeable and honestly could not do more to assist. Throughout the course they ran fantastic scenarios which were tailored to each services risk and were immersive and realistic. I would highly recommend!” Bedfordshire FRS
Devon & Somerset Fire commissioned KLA to deliver a SFJ Awards Level 4 Award in Intermediate Incident Command. Again, joined by a delegate from Gloucestershire FRS, the course was a great success with delegates exposed to 12 tailored formative/ summative assessments. Truly immersive environment maximising the delegates time with KLA.
“Loved the course, the layout and structure was just right in my opinion. The instructors were faultless.” SFJ Level 4 D&S
We welcomed the opportunity to deliver the first SFJ-Effective Command-ICL3 Revalidation Assessment Day for Royal Berkshire Fire. Excellent state of the art facilities added to the overall experience of KLA’s delivery team. The delegates tested their command skills utilising a Command Team and key role players. Challenging scenarios make the experience super interesting for all concerned.
Finally, KLA in partnership with Joe Hassell Command, Greater Manchester Fire exposed their Tactical/ Strategic Command Officers to a session with Joe Hassell. A Group Decision Making Exercise follows intensive group discussions based on a theme selected by GMFRS.
“Excellent course that was a mixture of theory and practical tabletop exercises that got me to think more deeply at a tactical commander level. The classroom was fun whilst being a good learning environment. The trainer was clearly knowledgeable and experienced in this field.” Strategic Refresher GMFRS
