In West Midlands Fire KLA delivered another SFJ Awards Level 4 (ICL2) Award in Intermediate Incident Command. Purely a WMFRS attended course, the excellent incident command facilities enhanced the overall experience for the candidates. Accessing 12 formative/ summative assessments, each person maximised their development opportunities.
“This course has been a thoroughly enjoyable and valuable experience. The trainers delivered a supportive, evidence-based approach to incident command that has restored my confidence and reignited my passion for the subject. A big thank you to the team for their professionalism, encouragement, and for creating such a positive learning environment.”
“Fantastic training course provided by trainers with a wealth of knowledge and experience and an ability to bring the learning to life through real world examples. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend.”
Nottinghamshire Fire played host to a SFJ Awards Level 6 (ICL3) Award in Advanced Incident Command. Joined by 2 delegates from North Yorkshire Fire, the course was made even more interesting because of the vastly different operational experiences at incidents.
Greater Manchester Fire hosted the latest KLA SFJ Awards Level 7 Award (ICL4) in Strategic Incident Command. This workshop consisted not only of uniformed operational officers but also the Director of Finance and Assets at Buckinghamshire Fire, Mr Mark Hemming. The diverse backgrounds made for a fascinating insight in elements of Fire Service Strategic Management.
A fantastic course, expertly delivered by the 3 instructors all of whom have years of experience working in the strategic setting. Their knowledge and experience really brought the course to life. AM Zach Villers
“A quality learning experience that has enhanced my knowledge and skills as a strategic commander.” AM Dave Minto
“Professional discussions helped test and build on knowledge. Case studies and group discussions helped make topics even more relatable, especially given my non-operational background.” Mark Hemming
